Tucson Temple Wedding and Mount Lemmon Reception / / Bella & Mikey

You know those couples that are so in love that you can’t help but feel inspired by their devotion to each other? That is how I felt when I listened to the sweet vows these two shared with each other. I was so touched when Bella listed the qualities she loves and admires in Mikey. She spoke of her parent’s example and her determination to wait for a worthy and righteous companion. Likewise, Mikey shared his tender feelings for Bella in such a way that you could feel that this truly is a special couple. For Bella and Mikey their love started when Bella heard Mikey giving a sermon at church. From there, the two began dating, and quickly realized that they were supposed to do life together as husband and wife. These two were sealed at the Tucson Arizona Temple and then an intimate ring ceremony was held at her grandparent’s Mount Lemmon estate followed by their beautiful reception. I was in awe of all the love and talent that went into creating their reception. From the romantic lights, to the exquisite floral arrangements, everywhere you looked was gorgeous! Tokens of love were seen throughout the entire day as well. The ring that Bella wore belonged to Mikey’s grandmother. Her Sophia Webster shoes were a gift from a childhood friend and the necklace she wore was a gift from her cousin, someone whom Bella sees as a role model in her life. She shared with me that her mother’s signature scent growing up was Chanel Mademoiselle, the same perfume she chose to wear on her wedding day. The earrings she wore were a gift her mother had received on her sixteenth birthday. I was humbled to see how deeply Bella and Mikey loved their families. A favorite moment of the night was watching three generations slow dancing with their eternal companions- Bella’s grandparents, parents, and Bella and Mikey. A more comical event of the evening was when the garter got stuck up in the trees during the garter toss! However, boys will be boys, and they worked together to get it down! I am so grateful I was able to capture Bella and Mikey’s wedding day. It warms my heart and feeds my soul to capture the love that surrounds a couple as they begin their lives together! Congratulations you two!!

Tucson Arizona Temple Wedding / / Lindsey & Ryan

I have been so excited to share this beautiful wedding at the Tucson Arizona Temple! The morning of Lindsey & Ryan's wedding, I met Lindsey at her hotel room where she was getting ready. Her cute sister and cousin were busy doing her hair and makeup. Everyone was all smiles as the big day had finally arrived!

As Lindsey finished getting ready, I was able to take some photos of all the beautiful details she had thoughtfully incorporated for the wedding. One of my favorite pieces was an heirloom bracelet that belonged to her grandmother.

When I arrived to the Tucson Temple, a crowd of friends and family was gathered outside by the fountains. Everyone anxiously waited for the new couple to exit. As the doors to the temple opened, Lindsey and Ryan were beaming with joy! Their happiness was infectious! Cheers for the couple errupted and everyone welcomed the bride and groom with warm hugs. After family and wedding party portraits, I was able to capture some beautiful images of the newlyweds!

The slight windy breeze that day added to the light and romantic feeling that day! I loved how sweetly these two looked at each other the entire day! I loved catching them stealing kisses and whispering I love you to each other. Not too long into pictures Lindsey ditched her high heels and both she and Ryan swithced into their coordinating converses. I just LOVED that these two traded their dress shoes for something more comfortable! Lindsey's gold converse were AMAZING by the way!

After the Temple, we all headed to the reception venue. It was so beautifully and lovingly decorated by friends and family! My favorite part though was the “Sveddy Soda Bar”! It was darling! There was a menu of combination suggestions so that guests could create the perfect soda!

Their first dance together was so touching, and I was in tears during the father/daughter and mother/son dances! There is so much love and support surrounding this couple! It was truly touching to witness! After a playful cake cutting, and more dancing, these two exited under a canopy of sparklers! Lindsey and Ryan are truly a wonderful couple and I feel so honored that they invited me to capture their special day! Congratulations you two!

Skylar & Khalid / / Private Estate Wedding / /Tucson, Arizona

When I first met with Skylar and Khalid, I was drawn to their warm smiles and easy-going personalities. I was thrilled to be invited to capture their wedding and I couldn’t wait for their big day to arrive! Their wedding was held at a gorgeous private estate tucked back in the Tucson desert. The ceremony was held in the front atrium of the home and was officiated by Skylar’s mother. It was so heart-warming seeing Skylar’s Mom beaming as she was escorted down the aisle by her Father. At the end of the ceremony, Khalid gently kissed his Mother’s hand, keeping with tradition. Skylar chose a stunning bouquet and floral crown to wear on her wedding day designed by the talented Bloom Maven floral studio here in Tucson. Accents of succulents carried from her bouquet to the ceremony decor. Skylar and Khalid chose to share a first look before their ceremony, and boy am I glad they did! Khalid’s reaction to seeing Skylar for the first time was epic! As these two shared a quiet moment together, friends and family couldn’t help but peek from the windows! After the ceremony we were able to capture some gorgeous portraits. One of my favorites was when Sparky, their adorable pup, came in for a full family photo! It was such a joy capturing the love these two share for each other! They both have the most infectious smiles that just make you smile too! As the reception started, these two shared their first dance as husband and wife. A special moment of the night was when Skylar’s sorority sisters surrounded her and sang the sweetest song, wishing her joy, love, and happiness! The rest of the night was filled with good food, dancing, and conversation. Congratulations Skylar and Khalid! I am so honored to have captured the celebration of your love!

Tucson Temple and Gallery at Dove Mountain Wedding / / Nicole and Scott

Nicole and Scott are the kind of people who instantly make you smile. They are so warm and genuine, that within minutes you feel like family. I have truly come to love this couple! Their easy-going and upbeat personalities made spending time with them such a joy! So it came as no surprise, that when the weather called for rain on their wedding day, these two didn’t allow any amount of rain to dampen the joy and excitement of their big day!

Nicole and Scott were married at the Tucson LDS temple and I was able to catch up with a few guests as they made their way inside the temple. After the ceremony, friends and family anxiously gathered outside the temple doors waiting for Nicole and Scott to exit for the first time as husband and wife. As the bride and groom opened up their umbrella and stepped out the temple doors, everyone greeted them with shout of excitement, warm hugs, and big smiles! Everyone was in awe of Nicole’s veil. She made this delicate veil herself and had kept it a secret to surprise Scott and the rest of their guests on her wedding day. The chiffon flowers cascading down the length of the veil was absolutely stunning! As rain drops started dropping, we quickly tried to catch a few photos of all the friends and family who support these two! However, light rain, quickly picked up and we realized that we would need to move to a different location to finish taking photos.

We then made our way over to the Westward Look where we were able to take some beautiful family and bridal portraits. Everyone was smiling the entire time, so proud and happy that these two sweethearts had found each other! One of my favorite parts of the day was when I would see the adoring glances that Nicole’s children would give their Mom. You could just feel the love that they have for their Mom and how happy they are that she has found Scott! As I finished up family portraits and focused just on this darling couple, I couldn’t stop smiling myself! These two are SO in love!

After bridal portraits we made our way over to The Gallery at Dove Mountain where the ring ceremony and reception were held. Walking into the venue I was amazed by all the beautiful decorations and thoughtful details. During the ring ceremony, Nicole’s son escorted her down the aisle. You could see all over his face how proud he felt! It was such an intimate and touching ceremony. I would like to share a part of the ceremony I felt was incredibly moving. When it came time for Scott to place the ring on Nicole’s finger, he paused and addressed Nicole’s three children. He honestly shared that marriage is hard and that he can’t promise how things will go, but he did promise that he would always love them. As tears filled the eyes of the children, and most of the guests, I was so touched by his heartfelt declaration of his love for not only his bride, but for their family! You could feel how stong they all love and care for each other! The rest of the night was filled with joy and laughter as everyone danced and visited with each other.

Nicole and Scott, thank you for trusting me with your special day! I am truly grateful to have been invited to capture the love that you share not only with each other, but with your family and friends! I wish you a lifetime of happiness and love!
